Well being for our pupils

As a school, we understand the difficulties children face at different points in their lives or some children have at all times. Children need additional support to talk through these worries to help with their well being, which then can help with their progress in lessons. We offer a wide range of support to help with children's emotional well being. Please see the individual pages attached for further information.

Support we offer children across the school:

-ELSA (Emotional Literacy Support Assistant) sessions in groups or individually to work on a wide range of emotional support. Our school ELSA is Mrs Rumsey.

-Nurture sessions in groups working on the needs of each individual child. Our school Nurture Practitioner is Miss Jones

-Forest school sessions with Mr Chwalko can benefit confidence, resilience and anxiety.

-Art therapy sessions

-Claire Brierley- psychotherapy sessions to work on children's individual emotional needs or support group collaboration.

-Snug Lunch for children who prefer a quieter environment to eat in and opportunities for social skills and turn taking.
