Welcome 3M

Welcome to our Year 3 page. 

This term in English, our book is 'Seen and Not Heard' by Katie May Green. As part of this we will be writing a character narrative and a set of instructions. 

In Maths, we will be looking at multiplication, division and fractions. 

In Topic, we will be looking at a brand new topic called Brilliant Britain. We will be using our geography and map skills for this. 

In Shared Read, we will be reading the books 'Where the Wild things are' by Maurice Sendak and 'Just a dream' by Chris Van Allsburg. We will be reading these texts as they both have strong characterisation like our English text 'Seen and Not Heard'. 

Key Information:

PE will take place on a Wednesday. 

Home learning will be sent home every Thursday and should be returned to school by the following Tuesday.

Our book change day is Monday. Books and reading records need to come in on that day, Children will get one book level book and a reading for pleasure book each week. 

On a Thursday spelling books will be sent home and children will need to practise reading for a spelling quiz on Tuesdays.

Our assembly day is Friday 10th February. We would love to see as many of you there as possible!
